It's School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Thank you to our bus drivers for transporting our students to and from school! We appreciate you!

WRH15 purchased a new smaller bus. One very neat feature on this bus is it's very long and lit up bus stop arm. When it is open and students are loading and unloading, it extends well into the other lane. We have been having issues with cars not stopping when the stop arm is out and lights are flashing, clearly signaling for them to stop. We hope this newer bus with it's longer arm will help. It is dangerous for drivers not to stop or try to go around the busses when they are loading or unloading. Getting ticketed for running/passing a bus loading/unloading can be a very expensive mistake. Please help to keep our students safe by stopping when the busses signal they are loading and unloading.

Happy National School Librarian Day! We are so thankful for the relationship we have with the Wood River Public Library and Ms. Larissa , who runs our Lewis and Clark Elementary School Library. Thank you to Mrs. Kelly Wooldridge for running our Hartford Elementary Library.
School libraries play a crucial role in fostering a love for reading, supporting academic achievement, and promoting critical thinking. They provide students with access to a diverse range of resources, including books, digital media, and research tools, which enhance their learning experience. School libraries also offer a safe, welcoming environment where students can explore new ideas, develop essential literacy skills, and engage in collaborative learning. Ultimately, they contribute to the overall intellectual and social development of students.
