Aaliyah Fitzgerald, a 7th grade student from LCJH Student Council, presented to the Wood River-Hartford Board of Education at the Tuesday, March 24th School Board Meeting. Aaliyah is one of the IAJHSC Southwest District Representative candidates and she practiced her speech for this year's IAJHSC State Convention. The election will take place at the IAJHSC Convention in April. We are so very proud of her and wish her success in her endeavor!

Today we had students participate in Junior Olympiad at SIUE. This was the 45th Annual Junior Olympiad and it was hosted by Dr. Robert Werden, Regional Superintendent of Schools and the Regional Office Education.

Our Oiler Boy's Basketball All Academic Team was recognized by their coaches, Coach Daniels and Coach Overton, at the Board meeting last night. The qualifications for this All Academic team is honor roll, good attendance and being a good student. The team is made up of one 8th grade student, Malik Turner and 7th grade students, Gabe Daniels, Lincoln Brame, Hudson Gonzales and Harrison Hawkins. Great job boys and coaches!
